After a pick-up at the Hotel with a van or SUV at your Hotel, the trip starts with a walk at the Local Market, enjoying the colorful view of all the fruits and vegetables of the region.

At this market “Mercado da Graça” you will taste some of our seasonal fruits available at the market stand, then join us at a small store in this market for a tasting of various cheeses, with so many cows on the island it is clear that we have different cheeses with different flavors and intensity.

After this stop, board a van to a local bakery in Vila Franca do Campo, see how they make the famous queijadas and have a perfect one for those who love sweets.

We continue our journey to the shore of Lagoa das Furnas and witness how the Furnas stew is prepared. We follow the pot of stew to a local restaurant in Furnas and have a real flavor explosion.

After this lunch, a short walk around the Caldeiras das Furnas with tastings of sparkling water and some liqueurs will be a perfect way to feel lighter after such a full lunch.

On the way back, stop at the Tea Plantation, and after learning how tea is produced at the Gorreana Tea Factory, have a nice cup of tea with some cookies to relax and enjoy the stunning view.

The return journey is filled with stunning views, ending the afternoon at your hotel.
