On the western side of São Miguel Island you’ll find the picturesque village of Sete Cidades, located inside a volcanic caldera on the shores of the famous Blue and Green Lagoons. This is where your first SUP experience will take place!
Stand Up Paddle is an activity that allows you to connect with yourself and challenge your limits and skills. Embrace the spirit of adventure, challenge your abilities, and escape the routine by paddling and enjoying what São Miguel Island and its nature have to offer.
NOTE: No previous experience is required, but you should feel comfortable in the water.
In this Stand-Up Paddle Try Out activity, you will learn how to use your board while exploring Lagoa das Sete Cidades with your instructor. The calm waters of this lagoon make it the ideal place for your first SUP experience. The location of the activity depends mainly on current weather conditions.
This activity starts with a brief introduction; with little theory and lots of action. All equipment is provided, and while still on land the SUP paddling technique is explained in detail and practiced.
We’ll break the ice and warm up with a fun game before paddling onto the water, where the real excitement begins!
Make the most of your time on the board—come ready to learn and get wet, then relax and get ready to have fun!

Transport/Meeting Point
You will find us on the left-hand side of the snack-bar Green Love, looking at the Blue Lake.
Sessions are available in the morning at 10:30 or in the afternoon at 14:30.
The location of the activity depends essentially on the current weather conditions. If necessary, we will contact you to arrange a different time or place.
