Azores Ticket Office: The design behind the project

The Azores Ticket Office (ATO) was born from the vision of @Azores Explore Your Senses (AEYS), a brand that has been standing out in experience-based tourism in the Azores. Presented as “A Concept Store by @Azores Explore Your Senses”, the ATO works as the operational arm and physical contact point of AEYS. Its goal is to bring travelers closer to the experiences the brand creates and manages across the archipelago.

More than a store, the Azores Ticket Office positions itself as a direct sales and relationship channel. Here, visitors discover, book, and live authentic tourism experiences, now in a space with its own identity. Because of that, the project quickly received attention.

This interior design project for the Azores Ticket Office, developed by Curia Studio, was featured in Lux Decor magazine. The space, located in Ponta Delgada, combines aesthetics, functionality, and a connection to the territory. Therefore, it has become an example of interior design in the Azores that translates the essence of the archipelago into form and atmosphere.

A project that transforms the traveler’s experience

The Azores Ticket Office was created to go beyond the traditional sales counter. The focus is on authentic and personalized experiences. For that reason, Curia Studio developed an interior concept designed to welcome and inspire. Additionally, the environment communicates the brand in a subtle yet impactful way.

Every detail was carefully planned. Soft color palettes, natural materials, and light textures create a sense of balance and serenity. As a result, the space reflects the rhythm of the archipelago and the brand’s philosophy.

Curia Studio’s approach: identity and sensoriality

For Curia Studio, every space tells a story. That is why the interior project of the Azores Ticket Office highlights sensoriality and comfort. The combination of pastel tones, soft lighting, and custom-designed furniture results in an immersive environment. Thus, booking an experience becomes a moment of discovery.

According to the creative team, the biggest challenge was to “give shape to Azorean hospitality through design.” However, the result exceeded expectations: aesthetic lightness, comfort, and sophistication, where visitors feel welcomed from the moment they enter.

Design with Azorean soul

Inspired by the light and nature of the islands, Curia Studio created a space that values texture, visual silence, and harmony between natural and contemporary elements. In addition, light wood and organic fabrics reinforce authenticity. The layout was designed to encourage interaction and invite visitors to stay.

Lux Decor and the recognition of Azorean design

The appearance of the Azores Ticket Office in Lux Decor reinforces Curia Studio’s role in contemporary interior design in Portugal. The magazine highlights the balance between aesthetics and functionality. Furthermore, it recognizes the way the studio translated Azorean identity into a physical space.

A space that is an experience

The Azores Ticket Office is not just a sales point. It is an experience concept. With Curia Studio’s work, design became an important part of the brand’s narrative. Thus, the space is an extension of the Azorean spirit and an invitation to live the destination with all senses.

Conclusion

The Azores Ticket Office proves that tourism can be an experience from the very first moment. Thanks to Curia Studio’s work, the space translates the essence of the archipelago through detail, atmosphere, and functionality. As a result, the brand welcomes every visitor with Azorean identity, aesthetic sense, and personalized service. It is more than a counter — it is where your experience begins.
