Suitable for most ages and all levels of canyoning experience; whether you’re a beginner or have done canyoning before, this will be a thrilling experience for all.
This excursion takes place at the Salto do Cabrito Waterfall, an amazing place that is located very close to Ribeira Grande and Caldeira Velha (+/- 20 minutes by car from the city of Ponta Delgada). When we get there, we will proceed with the distribution of the equipment and a brief safety briefing, followed by a walk of about 30 minutes on average until we reach the canyoning site where the fun will begin!
We will go down the stream and reach several waterfalls where we will rappel or zip line in this deep canyon surrounded by the incredible nature of this volcanic area.
The highest rappel can reach 16 meters and, unlike the other canyoning’s, there will be no jumps. So, to end the adventure, you can opt for the 4-meter jump or zip line.

Transport/Meeting Point
• Pick-up: If you want the pick-up, it will be between 08:50 and 09:10 in the morning (November to March) between 08:20 and 08:40 in the morning (April to October), at your place of accommodation. Consider this for the Ponta Delgada areas (for others, please contact us). After the activity, we will drop you off again at your place of accommodation.
• If you do not need a Pick-up, consider the Meeting Point: Santa Barbara Beach - at 09:30 am (November - March) at 09:00 am (April to October) (near Tuká Tulá bar)
• We will contact you if we need to arrange a different time/place.
What to bring
• Swimsuit: Already dressed.
• Hair elastic: For more comfort and safety issues. We advise people with long hair to tie their hair.
• Glasses: If you normally wear glasses, we advise you to secure the glasses with a tape to prevent them from falling, damaging or losing them in the stream. When abseiling or jumping into the water, we recommend putting your goggles inside the wetsuit to store them. We do not recommend wearing contact lenses as they can be easily lost when jumping into the water.
• Medication: Any personal medication you may need for the duration of the activity (e.g., asthma inhaler, diabetic sugar packet, etc.)
• Knee/ankle support: For anyone suffering from joint problems. We recommend the use of an elastic support for better stability and to prevent further injury.
• Towel and dry clothes to change after the activity.
• Individual bottle of water: We recommend drinking water before and after the activity.

Important Information
• A moderate level of physical fitness is recommended, as this excursion sometimes includes: hiking on unstable terrain and slippery rocks, muddy slopes, and small ups and downs.
• You don't need to know how to swim, just be comfortable in the water. However, please let us know if this is the case.
• This activity is not recommended for people with back problems. Please inform us of any previous injuries, medical conditions or health issues when booking.
• The pregnancy situation is not accepted.
