Itinerary

Start the day with a direct pick-up from your accommodation and travel by van to the east coast of São Miguel. The first stop is at the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park, where you can admire waterfalls, lush vegetation, and the surrounding natural beauty.

Next, visit the village of Nordeste and discover its history and culture with the support of specialised guides, who share local traditions and curiosities.

Then, explore some of the island’s most iconic viewpoints, such as Vista dos Barcos, Ponta do Sossego, and Ponta da Madrugada. These spots offer impressive views over the north and east coasts of São Miguel.

Towards the end of the morning, head to the village of Povoação for lunch. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste typical dishes from the local Azorean cuisine and experience regional flavours.

After lunch, walk through the village centre on a guided visit to its most important historical landmarks, while enjoying the natural landscapes that surround the area.

Afterwards, continue to the Furnas Valley, one of the most emblematic locations on the island. Visit the famous Furnas Caldeiras and observe the intense geothermal activity, visible through the fumaroles.

To end the day, relax at Poça da Dona Beija and enjoy the iron-rich thermal waters, well known for their therapeutic properties.
