In the Azores we have the opportunity to observe around 27 species of cetaceans throughout the year, always in the company of a professional team of skippers, biologists and lookouts. Before heading out to sea, a briefing is given on cetaceans, sighting methods, safety rules and the code of ethics for cetacean watching in the Azores. Picos de Aventura has a 99% success rate of sightings per outing.
